Monica Dawn Winemiller

Monica Dawn Winemiller, age 67, of Buckhannon, died Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Summersville Healthcare Center in Summersville. She was born in Buckhannon, on July 12,1958, a daughter of the late Harry Newton and Areta Madeline Gooden Wilfong. She was united in marriage on January 6, 1990, to Ronald Winemiller who preceded her in death on August 28, 2005. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister Linda Farnsworth and a great nephew Christopher Farnsworth. Monica is survived by two sisters: Sharon Shaw of Buckhannon and Lisa and husband David Hopkins of Summersville, WV; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Monica was retired as a legal secretary; she had previously worked for Coleman and Wallace and later for the prosecuting attorney. She was a member of the Buckhannon

Chapter #18 Order of the Eastern Star and attended the Mt. Hope UM Church. She enjoyed

camping and spending time with her family.

Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 12:00 – 1:00PM, the funeral hour with Reverend J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Interment will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park.
