Monie Denton, age 97 of Franklin, TN passed away September 15, 2025. Retired hairdresser and owner of Monie’s Beauty Shop. Preceded in death by husband, Joe Denton; parents, Arthur Freeman and Queen Victoria Davis McCrae; brothers, James Alvin McCrae and Beverly Freeman McCrae; sister, Ethel Loretta McCrae Simmons. Survived by: step-son, Steve (Leah) Denton; step grandson, Alex Denton; sister, Ruth Ann Williams; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM September 17, 2025 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Alex Denton, Ronnie Simmons, Mark Puryear, Michael Burgoyne and Keith McDowell. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Williams, Jr, Terry Barnes, Baird Harris, Cody Barnes, Steve Denton, Mike Parkinson, Mont Pewitt, Rob Williams and Dylan Williams. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615 794-2289 williamsonmemorial.com
