Monika Diaz Obituary
Monika had a love for teaching for many years. She enjoyed her time working in Hays CISD and was a member of the leadership team at Santa Cruz Catholic School. In the fall of 2014, Monika chose to pursue a new career path when she joined the Flintco Construction Family in Austin through 2017 and continuing thereafter in Houston. She was well respected and loved by so many of her colleagues.
Monika is survived by her son, Justin A. Diaz, daughter, Megan Mason and Husband Eli
Mason IV, son Jeff Diaz and wife Emily Diaz. In addition, she is survived by her mother JoAnn Long, brother Marcus Villanueva and sister Jennifer Cassady; along with nieces, Nicole Borst and Jayna Cassady. She had four beautiful grandchildren that she loved deeply.
The viewing for friends and family will be held at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle, Texas on December 9th, 2021, beginning at 5pm with the rosary to follow at 7pm.
Church services will be held at Santa Cruz Catholic Church on December 10th, 2021 at 10am. Burial will follow at Our Lady Guadalupe Church Cemetery in Taylor, Texas.
A meal to commemorate her life and legacy will be held at the Jerusalem Pentecostal Church Hall in Taylor, Texas following the burial. All are welcomed.
