Monique St. Germain, 83, a lifelong presence in the heart of Manchester, New Hampshire, slipped away peacefully after a brief stay at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. In her final days, she was surrounded by the kind of love, dignity, and tender care that every soul deserves. She is predeceased by her husband Roland St. Germain Sr. and a granddaughter, Rhoda Razor.
She was the devoted mother to Edward St. Germain, Roland St. Germain Jr. and Rose Riley. Monique also leaves behind her daughter in law Trish St, Germain, and Son in Law Steve Riley. Her granddaughters, Rebecca Rasor and Nikole St. Germain, were lights in her life, each one held close to her heart. She also leaves behind great grandchildren, family, and friends.
Few knew that Monique and Roland St. Germain Sr. exchanged their vows on Christmas Day. Perhaps that is why the season shimmered so brightly for her. Christmas was more than a holiday — it was a celebration of family, warmth, and tradition. And in Monique’s home, it often meant filling the kitchen with the sweet ritual of making chocolates with Nikole during Thanksgiving weekend in preparation for all those tasty treats to be handed out, a favorite past time and tradition as rich and joyful as the season itself.
A memorial service will be held on January 9th at Phaneuf Funeral Home on 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH, allowing loved ones to embrace the holidays with their families before gathering to honor Monique’s beautiful life.
