Montague Baldwin, affectionately known as "Tae," was born on March 21, 1980, in Laurinburg, NC, the second child of Helena Rogers and James Baldwin. He transitioned from this earthly life on May 24, 2025. Montague began his education at Hoke County Public School, obtaining his General Education Diploma (GED). His mother believed in education, so she assisted him with enrolling in Fayetteville Technical Community College online classes, where he pursued his goal of obtaining his Associate's degree.
Montague had various skills and talents. He was exceptionally gifted with his hands, and his talents ranged from disassembling vehicles to repairing refrigerators and other appliances. Prior to beginning his career at Goodyear Tire Company, he worked several jobs before founding and operating his own business, Tae's Lawn Care Service. Above all, Montague used his many gifts and talents to help family members, friends, and neighbors throughout his community.
Montague leaves to cherish his memory are two daughters, Jyntavia and Mariah; devoted mother, Helena Rogers; father, James Baldwin, stepmom Dawn Baldwin; step-brothers, Jamaurio and Ferard; several aunts, uncles, great uncles, one great aunt, godmother, and a special friend Denise whom he referred to as "his second mom," a host of cousins and lifelong childhood friends. His older brother, Aloysius Rogers, Ferontay Troutman, and baby sister, Whitley Baldwin, preceded him in death. The memory of Montague will last a lifetime, and he will forever live on in the hearts of his family, co-workers, and friends.
