Morgan Ashley Martin

Morgan Ashley Martin, 34, a resident of the Vernonia community passed away on November 4, 2022 due to a traffic accident.
Morgan was born on February 12, 1988 in Portland, OR She was the fourth daughter born to Mark Adam Cunningham and Tina (Brown) Williams. Morgan was raised in the Gresham area and attended Sweet Briar Elementary, Hall Elementary School, Dexter McCarty Middle School and graduated from Springwater Trail High School in Gresham with the Class of 2006.
Morgan was a very active teenager having played soccer and other sports, She met her future husband, William "Bill" Martin Jr., by chance. They knew a mutual friend and following Bill's enlistment with the US Army Bill and Morgan married on October 21, 2008 in Gresham. They made their home in Gresham and had three sons together bringing their family of three to a total of six. In 2019 they moved to Vernonia, not a moment too soon, where their family enjoyed the great outdoors.
Morgan worked in grocery retail all her working life. She started as a barista with Tully's at her local Fred Meyer and then worked her way through several positions. In 2017 she started working for Costco.
Morgan was a loving and devoted mother, a force to be reckoned with, she expressed a fierce loyalty towards friends and family. Although the youngest in her family, Morgan was often the vibrant and outspoken daughter. She was kind and loving towards anyone especially those within her circle. She loved doing things with and for her children, baseball, camping and motor bike riding. She was known for her potato salad, bread pudding and breakfast bites. She liked to keep a neat and tidy home and was a very organized person. She loved to sing along with the radio and dance with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Mark Adam Cunningham and a sister, Erin Melody Cunningham.
She is survived by her loving husband, William (Billy) Martin, three sons, Ethan Adam William Martin of Vernonia, Eli Westley William Martin of Vernonia, Elliot Edwin William Martin of Vernonia, and her stepdaughter Daisy Shay Martin of Gresham and Daisy's companion Seth Saban, her mother and step father, Tina and Leonard Williams of Gresham, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Gayle and William Martin Sr of Molino, two sisters, Nikki Marie Joy and her companion Steve Boyd both of Portland, Yanci Eileen Joy of Salem, Four nephews and six nieces.
