Moris Gonzalez

Moris Eduardo González, age 68, of St. Croix Falls, WI passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024 in St. Paul, MN at Our Lady of Peace surrounded by loved ones.
Moris was born March 12, 1956 in Tiquisate, Escuintla - Guatemala to parents, Julio González and Rosalia González Miralles. He was the 5th of 7 children. As a young boy Moris enjoyed playing on his family's soccer team with his brothers and working on cars with his dad.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary and children, Moris González II (Brittany Maki), Rosalia González, Lucas González (Anita Paul) and Elena (Michael) Herrle; seven grandchildren; siblings, Irma, Sandra, Ody, Hugo and many nieces and nephews.
Moris was born and raised in Guatemala and came to the United States in his 20s. He shortly met his lifelong soul mate, Mary and got married in 1981. Moris and Mary went on to have four children and built their life together, in St. Croix Falls, WI. As a father, Moris instilled valuable life lessons that taught his children hard work pays off. Moris worked in various manufacturing roles, and had a passion for artistic work. Moris' favorite job was working as a Stained- glass glazer creating beautiful works of art. Moris retired in his early 60s and enjoyed watching movies with his wife, gardening, spending time with grandchildren and catching any soccer game that was on (even if it was a repeat).
Moris will be missed by his family and friends, but his memory will never be forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Julio and Jorge González.

Moris nació el 12 de marzo de 1956 en Tiquisate, Escuintla - Guatemala. Sus padres fueron, Julio González Roldan y Rosalía Miralles de González. Fue el quinto de siete hijos. Durante su niñez y juventud, Moris formó parte del equipo de fútbol de su familia, junto con sus hermanos y disfrutó de la mecánica de automóviles junto con su padre.
Le sobreviven su esposa por 43 años, Mary y sus hijos, Moris González II (Brittany Maki), Rosalía González, Lucas González (Anita Paul) y Elena (Michael) Herrle; siete nietos; hermanos, Irma, Sandra, Ody, Hugo y sobrinos.
Moris nació y creció en Guatemala, llegó a los Estados Unidos cuando tenía 20 años. Poco después conoció a su alma gemela, Mary y confirmaron su amor en 1981. Moris y Mary tuvieron cuatro hijos y construyeron su historia de amor en St. Croix Falls, WI. Como padre, Moris inculcó grandes y valiosas lecciones de vida las cuales enseñaron a sus hijos que el trabajo duro vale la pena. Moris trabajó en varios puestos de fabricación artesanal y contaba con una gran pasión por el trabajo artístico. El trabajo que más le apasionó fue crear vitrales, sus creaciones fueron sus obras de arte favoritas. Moris decidió jubilarse cuando tenía un poco más de 60 años, durante este tiempo disfrutó de ver películas junto a su esposa, hacer jardinería, pasar tiempo con sus nietos y ver cualquier partido de fútbol que estuviera disponible (incluso en repetición).
Su familia y amigos le extrañarán, pero su memoria nunca será olvidada.
