Morris Woodward Clark, age 81, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. As he entered into the arms of Jesus, those closest to him held his hands, ushering him into perfect peace and rest.
A lifelong resident of the Eureka community, and a devoted member of Candies Creek Baptist Church, Morris lived a life full of faith, stories, and kindness. He never met a stranger, and was always ready with a good tale and a warm smile.
On June 16, 1967, Morris married the love of his life, Connie Lovell, and together they built a beautiful life full of joy, and shared passions-gardening, canning, raising cattle, traveling, taking beach trips, and most importantly, raising their daughters. They were each other's truest companions and best friends.
Morris was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Clark; his parents, George and Pauline Clark; his brothers and their wives, Celotis (Jean) and Ralph (Doris); his brother Doyle Clark; and his sister Hazel Jones.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Adelia (Scott) Hall and Greta (Aaron) Frazier; his grandchildren, Lukas (Lexi), Lauren, Kira, Khelben, and Kinley; and his great-granddaughter, Sutton Grace. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Wanda Wilkey and Carole Lovell, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends at Candies Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, April 19,2025 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 6:00 pm with Pastor Stan Gibson and Pastor Jamie Work officiating.
A graveside service will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Brookdale Assisted Living, whose kindness and care over the past three months meant so much. Morris deeply loved his Brookdale family.
