Morris Wayne Fain, Sr., 79, of Reidsville, he went home to be with his loved ones on January 20, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm January 31, 2025 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Dr. Terry Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Morris was born in Rockingham County to the late William Melvin Fain and Minnie Sue Gilley Fain. He spent his career as a pipefitter for several different companies until an injury prevented him from working. He was a very loving and caring person and never met a stranger. Morris loved to fish, fast cars, cooking, watching western shows, and most importantly loved his family. Morris accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior on September 3, 2023 at New Heights Baptist Church, that public profession of faith provided a lot a healing and comfort for him in the days ahead.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, James Moyer Fain, William Edgar Fain, Melvin Carlton Fain, Charles Alvis Fain, Oscar Harold Fain; sisters, Alma Sue Blakley, Annie Mae Watkins, and Mildred Mageline Fain; and his favorite dog, Buddy.
He is survived by his children, Tammie Fain Porter, Morris W. Fain, Jr. and Carlann Baynes Minnick and husband, John; grandchildren, Ryan Fain and wife, Tiffany, Katelyn Fain and husband, Jamie, Travis Fain and wife, Tori, Marisa Fain, Samantha and Haley Minnick; great grandchildren, Liam, Harper and Eliana Gammon, Benjamin Fain, Callum Barbour and Kaysen Fain; one great-grandson on the way; brother, Harry Eugene “Tootsie” Fain; sister, Doris Fain Duncan; the love of his life and the mother of two of his children, Nellie Fain; numerous extended family and his dog Little Man.
