Morris Michael "Mike" Murray

Morris Michael "Mike" Murray, 75, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a prolonged battle with cardiovascular illness. He was born in Guilford County to the late Edgar Morris Murray and Maggie Crumpton Murray and was married for 39 years to Kathy.
He was a United States Marine Corps veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He attended The Lamb's Chapel Church. Mike had a long career Industrial Sales, where he loved to meet with his customers. As a born salesman he never met a stranger. Throughout his life his hobbies included: running, golfing, auto racing, fly fishing, kayaking and woodwork.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Murray of Burlington; sister, Mickey Ingram and her husband Alan Ingram of Greensboro; daughter, Lisa Layton of Maryland; and grandsons, PFC Logan Layton (stationed at Ft. Hood, TX) and London Layton of Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin infant daughters.
A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
