Kimberly Murray Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 10, 2026.
Kimberly passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, after living with ovarian cancer for more than twenty seven years. She faced her illness with strength, grace, and quiet courage.

She was born on June 17, 1967, in Takoma Park, MD, to Thomas C. Faull and Frances M. (Walker) Faull. Kimberly grew up in Dunkirk and graduated from Northern High School in 1985.

She began her career with the U.S. Census Bureau in 1985 and joined the CIA/National Geospatial Intelligence Agency the following year. Over more than three decades of service, she held several positions and retired as a Business Executive in 2019.

Kimberly met Robert W. Murray in 1997, and they built a loving life together. They married on April 4, 2014, and moved to Millsboro, DE, in 2021.

She loved spending time with her family, especially watching her grandson play baseball. She also enjoyed dancing and being with friends. Kimberly's warmth and kindness made her a cherished presence in the lives of many.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; her son Shawn Bennett and his wife Stacie; and her grandson Drake, all of Owings, MD. She is also survived by her mother, Frances Faull of Prince Frederick; her sister, Kristin Smith and husband John of Huntingtown; nieces Courtney and Jamie Bosworth; and great niece and nephew Naylani Freeland and Tatum Kelley.

Kimberly will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her resilience, and the love she shared with those around her.
