Morris Robert "Robbie" Olson III, on January 23rd, 2024, started his journey to the next camp to meet up with all his family that left before him. They were waiting to greet him with open arms. He was 49 years old.
Robbie was born on September 30th, 1974, to Maizie Ogle and Robert Olson, Jr., in Poplar, MT. Robbie was very lucky in the way that he had 2 mom's, mom Maizie and mom Mary, whom both loved him very much.
Robbie grew up a very happy child, he attended Poplar Schools, where he graduated from. He loved playing basketball and in fact his High School Coach said he was one of the best ball players he ever coached. After he graduated, he attended college in Billings, Montana for a while.
While he was attending Poplar schools, he met Michelle McGowan, the mother of his one and only son, his pride and joy Alexander Robert Olson-McGowan.
After coming home, he worked different jobs, he was a Wildland fire fighter for the tribes, he was a seismograph line worker, he worked at Tande's grocery, he attended Fort Peck Community College, at the time of his death he worked as a day laborer.
Robbie enjoyed life. His hobbies were visiting with his family and friends, listening to music, playing basketball in his younger days, going to Powwows with friends, just having fun. You could always see him walking around. Lately he would go to Tribal Express around 6 a.m. each morning for his coffee. He was always going to his mom Maizie's house to eat and hangout for a while. He would go to the school to see his mom Mary or call her to see what she was up to, just checking on everyone. Robbie was loved by all and he will be greatly missed.
Robbie leaves behind his son, Alexander "Alex", his mom Maizie and Arnold Youngbird, his 2nd mom Mary and Greg Plante, his brothers Myron (Berta), Leslie, Michael, Jason, Mike Olson, sister BJ Greybear, his uncles Raymond "Abby" Ogle, Elmer "Andy" Ogle, Keith Olson, Sr. and family, Irvin Olson, Sr. and family, Curtis Menz, Sr. and family, Lester Menz, Sr and family, his aunts Judy (Arnie) Ogle, Shari Ogle, Ronette Red Boy, Julia Young and family, Jonelle Menz and family, Charles and Saba Nolley and family, grandparents Robert and Gloria Garcia and family, Pauline Boxer and family, Margaret Hapa and family, Yvette Todd and family, his cousins Aaron, Louis and family, Lyssa and family, James and family, Lance and family, Daniel and family, Stephanie and family, John and family, Launa and family, Nickolas and family, Cameron, Connor and family, Krysta and family, Trenton and family, Charles and family, nephews and nieces Raymond Jr., Siouxmani, Sage, Jason Jr., Mariah, Myron Jr, Mylee, River, Ryder, Keyontai, Xander, Chase, LaShea, Jaidee, Rhea, Francesca, Tyrae, Jacob, Mitchell, Leon, Stephen, Jennifer, his grandchildren Kezryn, Aniyah, Addilyn, Carson, Winona.
He is welcomed to the next camp by his brother Raymond Sr., grandparents Ray and Reba Ogle, Raquel Menz, his dad Robert Olson Jr, his uncles Leonard "Oscar" Ogle, Lloyd "Slugger" Ogle, aunt Jewel Ogle, cousins Markie Vondall, William Ogle, Whitney Ogle, Brandon Red Boy, niece Kayla Olson.
Robbie has a large extended family too numerous to name, but he loved you all. Ogle's, Red Eagle's, Olson's, Goodwill's, and many others. We are sorry if we accidentally left anyone out, it wasn't intentional. Sorry, currently this is one of the hardest things to write.
Fly high son, we love you. We will be missing you, until we see you again.
