A funeral service celebrating the life of Morris Edward Pardee, 79, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 16, 2025, at Family Worship Center, 330 Sandy Point Road, Campti, LA, with Sister Linda Chance officiating. Interment will follow in Pardee Cemetery in the Black Lake community. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time. The services will be under the direction of Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Mr. Pardee was born on June 4, 1945, in Campti, LA, to Cedric “Dick” and Mary Hess Pardee and passed May 11, 2025, in Coushatta, LA.
Mr. Pardee was preceded in death by his parents and stepparents; stepmother, Ann Pardee and stepfather, Leo Burl “Burlee” Graham. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen Vail Pardee; daughter, Donna Nastasi (late husband, Joe); sisters, Janette Graham Melton (Steve), Melissa Nash Williams (Darrell) and Karen Kimsey; brother, Paul Pardee (Erika); grandchildren, Chris Nastasi and Rachel Nastasi; great-granddaughter, Aubree; and a host of family and friends.
Honoring Mr. Pardee as pallbearers will be Chris Nastasi, Steve Melton, Gary Pardee, Eddy Brown, Darrell Williams, and Ronald Joe Guin. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Junior Kerry, Elmo Potts, Wilbert Pardee, PeeWee Pardee, John Pardee, James Pardee and Clement Pardee.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
