Rev. Morris Waters Westbrook

Rev. Morris Waters Westbrook, 90, of Durham, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 23, 2022.
He was born October 2, 1931 in Sampson County, NC to the late William and Sallie Westbrook.
After many years of service, Morris retired from IBM. He accepted Christ at the age of 18, and was a founding member of Bethel Christian Center. This led to his passion for teaching his adult Sunday school class, prison and foreign ministries.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, helping others and sharing his love of the word of God.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 58 years Maybelle Blackburn Westbrook, and 12 siblings.
Morris is survived by his wife Ann Westbrook; daughter, Judy Holland (John) son, Ray Westbrook (Lynda); sisters Ruth Blackburn and Doris Street; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Eric Westbrook, Brent Peed, Steve Holder, Wayne Pope, Josh Dixon, and Denny Stanley. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be John Holland and David Brown.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2002 at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2022 at Bethel Christian Center with Rev. Don Westbrook officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
