Morse Dale “Papaw” Baucum, age 67, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024 his residence. Mr. Baucum was born on May 17, 1957 in Madisonville, KY to the late Rex Menser and Rachael Bruce Baucum. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1976 – 1978 and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Baucum dearly loved his family and especially loved being “Papaw” to his ten grandchildren.
Survivors include his beloved wife of eighteen years ~ Kathy Robinson Baucum; two daughters ~ April (Richard) Jennings and Julia (Jeff) Densmore; two sons ~ Christopher Logan and Thomas Rominger, Jr.; four sisters ~ Brenda Campbell, Kathy Pleasant, Carolyn Parker and Teresa Miles; two brothers ~ Bruce (Charlotte) Baucum and Dewayne (Christina) Baucum; ten grandchildren ~ Nathaniel Jennings, Ashley Jennings, Jacob Jennings, Corbin Jenings, Hannah Phebus, Whitney Taylor, Kaylie McGregor, Andrew Densmore, Charles Rominger, and Sofia Densmore; two great-grandchildren ~ Ariel and Jaxx Phebus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister ~ Nancy Street and two brothers ~ Rodney Baucum and Gary Baucum.
Visitation for Morse Dale Baucum will be held Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 12:00 PM until the memorial service hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Dewayne Baucum officiating.
Mr. Baucum’s service will be recorded and available for viewing after the service on the Beshear Funeral Home Facebook page. (To view: “Google” beshearfuneralhomefacebook and select “videos” among the menu options).
