Mary Scott Obituary
She was born on May 10, 1959, in Henderson, KY, to the late Frances Slaughter Scott and Rudy Scott. She was formerly employed as a CNA at Tradewater Health and Rehab Center in Dawson Springs, KY. She enjoyed crafting and attending the Special Olympics events. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mary was a member of Silent Run Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her daughters, Brandy (Joe) Cullen and Carrie Cardin, both of Madisonville; son, John (Heather) Cardin of Paducah, KY; sister, Yvonne Holsapple of Florida; grandsons, Cody (Hailey) Cullen of Madisonville and Hayden Cardin of Paducah; her faithful caregiver, Janine Mason, lovingly called by the family momma's Jenny; her best friend, Janice Adams; and the family would like to include the extended Cardin family and her beloved dog, Charlie.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Jamey Daugherty officiating. Burial will be held at Silent Run Missionary Baptist Church in Nebo, KY, when the weather permits.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. on Saturday until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Joe Cullen, Cody Cullen, John Cardin, Hayden Cardin, Roger Cardin, and Jeremiah Cardin.
