Nancy, Sue and I were so sorry to learn of the passing of Mort. We will always cherish the memories of both of you as wonderful next door neighbors at Oakledge in Sunapee.

Morty always was friendly and had a happy disposition.... more people should follow his manner, but I guess we tend to get self-absorbed.
In any event, it was a pleasure knowing him, even though we didn't socialize much except at the fraternity.
Since I was an electrical engineer and involved in a program where I worked in industry for many semesters, and made up school during the summers, I missed much of our fraternity socializing.
Hi to those of you who recall me. :-))
After graduating, I ended up flying for United Airlines for many years, until retirement at age 60... my wife and I and her kids lived on Long Island, near the ocean; and the boys were skilled surfers. We finally moved to Stamford, CT, where we still live, and I became active with the Friends of Mianus River Park, and became an avid hiker. My wife is an RN, and worked on and off for many years, mostly at a hospital in Long Beach, Long Island... it's now closed.
One of our sons followed in my footsteps, and he flies for FEDEX.
If anyone is in the area (Stamford, CT) and would like to visit, please contact me.
I'll take you for a nice little walk in our lovely Mianus River Park.
Wishing you all well.

Nancy, Lori, Mark & Deb,
I met Mort through work after Noel Posternak introduced him to my dad. From a business and personal perspective, my dad (not the softest guy in the world) fell in love with Mort at first sight! Mort would tell me years later that at that initial dinner meeting, he thought my father was unimpressed.
The morning after that dinner, I had breakfast with my dad, and he was making plans to work with Mort on multiple projects in the future!
Shortly thereafter, I began working on projects with Mort and quickly saw what drew my father to Mort.
Mort had a limitless toolkit of skills. He was the most intelligent guy in every room he entered. He had a rare combination of competitive intensity and an easy/composed manner.
I had the privilege of working with Mort for over 15 years across various roles. Aside from my family, Mort has been my single greatest supporter, advisor, and friend. I am certain there are hundreds of people who believe Mort was their biggest supporter, too. What a man!
I know he loved you all, evidenced by my ability to tell Hodin family stories and accomplishments for hours! We loved talking about our families, and he wore that signature smile throughout every family conversation! Pure Love!
I am sorry for your loss and will see you this week.

Sad to hear, as we all approach the end of our lives... my deep condolences, Nancy...
The only Phi Sig I'm still in touch with is Al lippert, although I stayed in touch with Furtick for many years, too.
Hanging in there; still hiking abit, here in north Stamford CT... my wife and I spend lots of time in bed... sleeping. :-))

I have had little or no contact with most of our brothers. In some ways I have been happy with that as I remember all of you as you were about 65 years ago.
I was with Peter towards the very end and Rick's and Geff's deaths were way to early and hit hard.
As we all pass the magic number of 85, our passing (actually mostly mine) is becoming very real. I have so many miracles of modern medicine in my body and about to get another (right knee) that I marvel that so many of us are left,
So, goodbye Morty, I still think of you as you were in 1961.

Marilyn and I are so sad to learn of Morty´s passing. We have only very fond memories of him from our Cornell days together and several new years celebrations. How blessed you were to have shared such a long marriage together.
With Love,
