Moses Claxton, age 16, of Brumley, Missouri returned to the Lord on February 16, 2024 in Lake Ozark, Missouri. He was born on December 22, 2007 in Kansas City, Missouri; a son of Brian and Jessica Claxton.
Moses was a Sophomore at School of the Osage, in Osage Beach, Missouri. Friends, family, and strangers alike were charmed by his gentle grace and generosity that belied an adventurous and fearless streak. His favorite hobby shifted over the years from peaceful days fishing cold Ozark waters alongside his brothers to tearing across dirt track banks and straightaways, the whine of competitors' engines trying to keep up with his #52 bike.
Moses is survived by his parents; brothers Sawyer and Gideon; grandparents Fred and Sherry Smeltzer and Bette Claxton; uncles and aunts Adam Claxton, Amanda Claxton, Caleb Claxton, Brian Smeltzer, Katy Goslin, Jennifer Nunley, 25 cousins, and a heartbroken community.
Friends will be received at a visitation at 9AM on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Christ the King Church in Lake Ozark. Funeral will be at 11am, with a graveside service following at Hawkins Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Moses would've liked donations be made to https://fuelministry.com/ It's a final earthly act of giving in a line of service to others that rivals many who see old age.
Fuel Ministry is a dirtbike camp he attended that spreads the Gospel on and off the track. Please mark any donations for "Moses Claxton Memorial Scholarship."

Something I´ve learned from Moses was to never back down on something you´re passionate about even if you´re nervous. Moses was always so passionate about riding his dirt bike and never backed down or gave up even if things got difficult he never let it get in his way. I learned to never be scared to do something you really love to do and I really appreciate that as it´s motivated me to do the same and look up to him. He also taught that it´s okay to not be okay and that you always have someone to talk to no matter who they are that you always have some kind of safe place to run to. He always made it known so you knew that you could always talk to him. I´m gonna miss you lots I hope you´re up there riding your dirt bike as much as your heart desires showing people how good you are at it and showing others how sweet, and overall an amazing person that you are as well.

Since I met Moses he was always a bright and cheerful soul, if anyone was having a bad day he would crack a joke and make someone smile

I learned that it doesnt take a conversation to know how good a person is. you could just look at him and know he was amazing. he had the brightest smile and lightened every room he stepped foot in, you could never go a day without atleast smiling once because of moses. I dont think anyone could compare to how sweet he was, another thing I learned is that moses claxton never had to change anything about himself for anyone or anything and I think that's amazing. moses was the kind of person you could be around for HOURS and never get bored. and I feel so many others could say the same thing.
