Moses Samuel Mason, 74, of Fayetteville, NC went home to be with the Lord on May 16, 2024 at Carrolton Healthcare Facility of Fayetteville, NC. "Junie" as he was affectionately known, was born on February 15, 1950 in Rockingham, NC to the late Violet and Moses Mason.
Junie attended Bridgeton Public Schools and later earned his GED. He was employed at Hunts Wesson Foods for many years until they went out of business and then worked at Seabrook Brothers & Sons until he left New Jersey. When Junie relocated to North Carolina, he worked as a Residential Counselor at Patricia's Residential Home Care Facility for the past 14 years. His mission and passion was to teach, care for, and help those who could not help themselves. He was dedicated and very passionate to serving in this role.
Junie enjoyed spending time with his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He had a dry sense of humor but was known for cracking jokes and making us laugh. Junie was well known, loved, and respected by everyone he encountered.
Moses is survived by two daughters, Nikola Anita Mason of Fayetteville, NC and Tammy Willingham of Wilmington, DE; Bonus Children: Atiya Jenkins, Shantay Jenkins, and Shatora Sheikh, Two Sisters Diane Bailey of Wilmington, DE and Antionette Mason of Raleigh, NC; and One Brother Tyrone Mason of Raleigh, NC; One Aunt "Nye" Naomi Morris Bridgeton, NJ; Five Grandchildren Ajanea Mason and Onyea Mason of Fayetteville, NC; Mykeia Willingham, Deontay Willingham, Michael Lovette of Wilmington, DE; Nine Great Grandchildren: Zereon, Alayah, Tracy, Tyler, Nova and Xavier of Fayetteville, NC and Serenity, Ava-nickole, and Brielle of Wilmington, DE; a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. Mose had special relationships with his "Boyz" Steve Sanders, Cameron Reynolds, and Lorenzo Yancey.
He was preceded in death by his parents Violet Mason-Bennett, Moses Mason, James Bennett, and Grandmother Verna Williams Robinson. Bonus Son Shamar Jenkins, Two Brothers Kenny and Gary Mason, One Sister Bonita Mason Yancey, One Brother-in-Law William"Billy"Bailey, One Uncle Robert Allen Williams & Aunt Helen"Sissy"Williams.
