Mr. James Lynn Hendricks, age 82, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2025, at his residence. He was born on June 11, 1943, in the state of Colorado, where he was raised.

Deeply devoted to his faith, James was an active member of Winder First Baptist Church, where he served both as a Deacon and as Church Treasurer. His love for the Lord and his commitment to Christian fellowship guided his interactions and strengthened his ties to the community. James valued the camaraderie he found within the church, often expressing how these connections enriched his life.

Throughout his life, James dedicated himself to a successful career in banking, where he was respected for his integrity and commitment. Beyond his professional achievements, he possessed an adventurous spirit that drove him to explore the great outdoors and his interest in motorcycles and cars.

The proudest accomplishment of James’ life was the deep bond he shared with his family. Having met his loving wife at the First Baptist Church in Salt Lake City in 1962, their relationship was a testament to true companionship. James cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.

Mr. Hendricks was preceded in death by his parents, J.P. Hendricks and Helen Hans Hendricks.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Carol Hendricks of Winder; daughters, Teri Hendricks (Jewel Howard) of Phoenix, AZ, and Shauna (Greg) Davis of Charleston; sister, Susan Kelly of Grand Junction, CO; and two granddaughters, Savannah Davis of Atlanta and Charlotte Davis of Washington D.C.; along with a host of extended friends and family.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Winder First Baptist Church, 625 Jefferson Hwy, Winder, GA 30680.

Maddox-Carter Memorial Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
