Mr. John Merkle Kirksey, 68, of Easley, South Carolina, transitioned on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Hospice of the Upstate. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late O.C. Stokes and Raureen Kirksey.
Surviving: one daughter, Jacqueline (James) Westbrook, of Las Vegas, NV, two sisters, Dorsena Hendrix and Gracie (Gordon) Bowens, both of Greenville, SC; six brothers, Casper Kirksey, of Easley, SC; Larry (Renee) Stokes, Terry (Twanna) Stokes, Samuel Stokes, Charles (Letricia) Stokes, Tony (Geraldine) Stokes, all of Simpsonville, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Service: Thursday, June 12, 2025, 11:00am, of Mt. Olive CME Church, with interment in Church Cemetery.
