Mr. Lonnie Hampton Hardy, 65 of Shallotte, NC, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 587 Bricklanding Rd. SW, Shallotte, NC 28470. Burial will follow at Angela-Faye Cemetery in Shallotte, NC. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 4-6PM in the Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home of Shallotte, Inc., 5190 Ocean Highway West, Shallotte, NC 28470.
Mr. Hardy is survived by his wife Mrs. Valerie Hardy of Port Sulphur, LA; (1-Son) Lamar Hardy of Orlando, FL; (3-Daughter’s) Shentell Martin of Lafayette, LA, Lionese Martin and Brianna Bland both of Shallotte, NC; (3-Step-Son’s) Brandon Duncan, Sr. of Port Sulphur, LA, Jerry Prout, Jr. and Joshua Prout both of Baytown, TX; (2-Step-Daughter’s) Jer’Val Prout and Julinee’ Alexander both of Baytown, TX; (1-Step Grandson) Brandon Duncan, Jr. of Port Sulphur, LA; (25-Grandchildren); (1-Great-Great Grandson); (3-Sister’s) Debra Hardy, Lisa Hardy, and Michelle Smith all of Shallotte, NC; (1-Brother) Sgt. Leroy Smith of Shallotte, NC; (3-Aunt’s); (1-Great-Great Aunt) Frances Bell; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
