Mrs. Easter Sizemore Hensley, of Corbin, Kentucky, and formerly of Leslie County, was born on March 13, 1931, the daughter of the late Bige Sizemore and the late Alice Bowling Sizemore. She departed this life on January 22, 2026, at the Beech Tree Nursing Home in Jellico, Tennessee, at the age of 94 years and 10 months.
Originally from Leslie County, Easter made Corbin her home for more than 30 years. She was a devoted member of the East Side Church of God in Corbin, KY. She retired from Frontier Nursing Service, where she dedicated many years of service.
Easter found joy in farming, caring for her animals, and spending time outdoors fishing. Her greatest fulfillment came from her faith-----attending church, participating in Bible study, private worship, and sharing her love of music through playing the guitar and piano, as well as singing in church. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her brother & sisters, whom she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Delvor Hensley; her parents; and her sisters: Orie Belle of Cincinnati, Ohio; Dovie Sizemore Mary Sizemore, Martha Bray; Eva Smallwood; Hallie Hensley; Daisy Estep, all of Bear Branch, KY; and Dorothy Riley of Melbourne, Florida.
Easter leaves behind two beloved sons;: Clellan Hensley and wife Melissa Faye; Jeffery Hensley and wife Melanie Kay; one sister, Jessie Snyder of Connersville, Indiana; and one brother, James "Jimmy" Sizemore of Corbin, KY. She is also survived by three granddaughters----Robin Karena Hensley, Gloria Blake Weldon, and Ollie Beatrice Heath---and one great grandson, Howard Stanley Weldon III.
