Mrs. June Chewning-Blanchard, age 63, of Auburn, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at her residence. Born on October 13, 1961, she embraced life with a humorous and fun-loving spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
June was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church. Beyond her love for family, June had a passion for antiquing and going to festivals, where she found joy and inspiration. Her laughter and zest for life were infectious which created lasting memories. She will be remembered best as a dedicated daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.
Her father, Henry Thomas Chewning Jr., preceded her in death.
June is survived by her mother, Phyllis Chewning of Winder; her three beloved sons: Darrell (Shanon Landress) Chewning-Blanchard of Winder; Ryan Bruce Blanchard, currently in South Korea; and Michael Alexander (Jessica) Blanchard of Quantico, Virginia; her siblings, Sheila (John) Sapp of Gainesville, Janet Smith of Marietta, and Jennifer (Rene) Engeron of Auburn; her adored grandchildren: Annie Blanchard of Virginia, Olivia Blanchard of Winder, and Clark Blanchard of Virginia; her nephews and nieces, Andrew Wallace of Newport, TN; Jessica Sapp of Suwannee; Brooke (Caleb) Rice of Gainesville, Chipper Smith of Huntington Beach, Florida and Jodie Smith of Melbourne, Florida; along with numerous great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Ivy Creek Baptist Church, 2500 Ivy Creek Road Buford, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the service hour at Ivy Creek Baptist Church.
Flowers are accepted for the service of Mrs. June Chewning-Blanchard.
Maddox-Carter Memorial Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
