MSgt. Danny Edward Schultheisz, USAF (Ret.), 78, entered into rest on Monday, November 4, 2024.
Danny, born on March 24, 1946, in Marietta, Ohio, lived a life marked by service and devotion. He proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he rose to the esteemed rank of Master Sergeant before retiring with honor.
A passionate Ohio State Buckeyes fan, Danny found immense joy in cheering on his team. His love for life was reflected in his hobbies—he cherished time spent fishing, playing golf, and savoring delicious pasta dishes.
Above all, Danny was a loving husband, devoted father, and doting grandfather. Known for his playful spirit and goofy sense of humor, he brought laughter to everyone he met. His family, who held him dear, will carry his memory in their hearts forever, treasuring the countless moments of joy and laughter he gifted them.
His parents, Cecil and Geraldine Schultheisz, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 54 years, Maria P. Schultheisz; children, Viki Micalizzi Waddell (Damie) and Mike Joseph Schultheisz (Michaelanne); grandchildren, Angelina Richardson (Matt), Justin Schultheisz, Jessie Schultheisz, Cole Waddell, and Stone Waddell (Jess); along with siblings, Chuck (Connie), Mark, Grace, Jill, Chris, Eddie, and Rose.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Danny will be laid to rest in Andersonville National Cemetery.
