It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Muriel Ruth Smith of South Berwick, Maine. Mary, as known by her friends, was born December 28, 1929, to Katherine A. and Roland E. Perkins.

She is predeceased by brothers Donald E. Perkins and Harold L. Perkins, as well as husbands Roger Currier and Richard A. Smith, sadly her oldest son Bryant R. Currier, and step-children Clark, Allan and Nancy Smith.

She is survived by her son Rick W. Currier and his wife Cathy, daughter Robin A. Savoie and her husband Bill, grandchildren Nathan Currier, Cristal Currier and husband Cameron, Courtney Mulvey and husband Brett, and their lovely daughters Avery and Adelaide.

A retired nurse, Muriel had worked both for the State of NH and private practice. She loved playing Bridge – cards in general, and would have been the star of the debate team. Sharp, quick-witted, and a little bit sassy made her loved by many. We are sad to see her go, and though you may not have known her, had you, you would be sad too.

In lieu of flowers please consider contributions to The American Cancer Society. Care for the Smith family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey & Son Funeral Home.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I will miss her smile and kindness. She had a sharp mind and taught me some fine points as I have been learning bridge with a gentle way and opening her home to us. We will miss her.
