Myra Jean Greggs passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, after a brief illness. She was born in Great Yarmouth, England and was the daughter of the late George and Jean Mace (Hotchkiss).

Myra trained as a nurse in the Royal Air Force and met her late husband Harry R. Greggs, USAF in England. They moved to the US in 1966 where she worked as a nurse, retail manager and caregiver. She was involved with her church, loved gardening and was an expert knitter and seamstress.

Myra is survived by her son Paul R. Greggs and his wife Jean; her grandson Colin Greggs and his wife Racheal and her great grandson, Malcolm; her granddaughter Anna Conant and her husband John.

Myra will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, Pastor Marty, her friends and family for their loving support. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM, at the Church of the Messiah, Chesapeake. I have been so blessed to have known Myra Greggs while attending The Church of the Messiah for many Sundays. Each Sunday that I would speak to her before and after service that I would greet her, I discovered the she was blessing me with her joy and her fortitude to overcome every challenge in life. Myra allowed me to escort her to her minivan and would always share some unique pleasure in her life that was so encouraging to me. Thank God for the life of Myra Greggs.
