LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Myra Delores Benton Hudson, lovingly known as Nana, age 77, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. She was born in Hamlet, North Carolina on June 5, 1948, and raised in the Cordova Community, a daughter of the late James L. Benton and the late Delores Solomon Benton and was the loving wife of the late Francis “Frank” Sylvester Hudson.
Mrs. Hudson was a devoted woman whose family was her world. She treasured time spent with her loved ones and found her greatest joy in being surrounded by them. She faithfully attended First Pentecostal Holiness Church, where her faith brought her comfort and strength. Nana will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Hudson is survived by her son, James David Hudson (Jane); her daughter, Kelly Hudson Crenshaw (Brown); her seven grandchildren, Jessica Nicole Miller (Seth), Jamiee Lenee Hudson, Jacob David Hudson, Ezra Brown “Trey” Crenshaw III (Khloe), Seth Hudson Crenshaw, Abbie-Grace Hudson, Chloe Faith Crenshaw; her great-grandson, Landon Martin Miller; her bonus grandchildren, Ashleigh Hannah Hoke, and Stephen Preston Hoke; her brother, Ronald Dean Benton; her sister, Faith Benton Diggs (Warren); many special nieces and nephews; and numerous special family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Frank Hudson, and their heavenly great-grandchild; and her parents, James and Delores Benton.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Hudson will be held at 3:00pm Thursday, January 22, 2026, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Jimmy Lambert. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm – 3:00pm, two hours prior to the service at Burgess Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1138 10th St., Lancaster, SC 29720.
