Myra Sue Picone

Myra Sue Beavers Picone, age 88, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025. She was born on November 5, 1937, in Carrollton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mack Beavers and Julie Ann Bailey Beavers.
Sue was known for her strong work ethic, gentle spirit, and unwavering character. She worked diligently for The Southwire Company as a Secretary, where her dedication and friendly nature made her a joy to be around.
A longtime member of Old Camp Methodist Church, Sue was dedicated to her church and to her Lord and Savior. To her family, Sue was the heart of the home. She was a loyal wife, a devoted mother, and a loving grandmother who found her greatest joy in caring for others. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them, most especially by traveling to the beach and spending countless days under the sun by the seashore.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her daughter, Renotta Dean.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Edward "Ed" John Picone Jr.; daughter & son-in-law, Michelle & Jeff Robinson; sons, Tom Chonis and Steve Picone; brother & sister-in-law, Ted & Sandra Beavers; son-in-law, Nelson Dean; grandchildren, Brad & Amanda Thornton, Jessica McEntyre & Josh Daniel, and Kaitlyn & Jason Hartley; great-grandchildren, Phillip, Tucker, Cole, Eli and Luke - all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate Sue's life on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Rev. Josh Stitcher officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Old Camp Methodist Cemetery.
