Myra Elaine Thomas

Myra Elaine Thomas of Hayes died unexpectedly on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the age of 85. Myra was born on December 4, 1938, to the late Charles and Claudia Payne Burrell in North Carolina. She worked and retired from Riverside Hospital, where she worked in their patient billing department. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Lowell Thomas, and brother, Donald Wayne Burrell. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Bushee, stepson Chris Thomas (Lisa), grandson Michael Bushee and great-grandson Derek Bushee. She is also survived by her former son-in-law, Rodger. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The graveside service, officiated by Pastor Arthur Wolz, will be held at Gloucester Point Cemetery on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:00 am. Services under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home & Crematory.
