Myra Josephine Tucker

Myra Josephine Cobb Tucker, age 89, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on August 29, 2025. She was born in Sumiton, Alabama to the late Alfred Earl Cobb and Lilly Pearl Rawlins Cobb. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Fred (Marie) Cobb and Jim (Lou) Cobb, her sister Jean Cobb Ellis and brother-in-law Bill Ellis, as well as her husband Vernon Tucker.

Myra is survived by her daughter Cindy (Rick) Wilkerson, son Terry Tucker, grandchildren Tyler and Natalie Jo (Mike), and great grandchildren Camryn and Max. Also her nieces Becky, Anna Marie, Suzanne, her nephews Mark, Steve, Chris, Ronnie, and cousin Jane. Also recognized are her special friends Kris, Helen, Debbie, and Senora.

Myra worked in the medical field for over 50 years as a radiology transcriptionist and office manager. When at home she enjoyed the company of her cats Tiki and Roscoe and spending time with her family. Myra also loved to cook and watch cooking shows and the Atlanta Braves on television. Two favorite dishes of her family were her shephard's pie and "Mississippi Mud". She will be dearly missed.
