Obituary
Myrna Elaine (Wright) Bullock, the daughter of Esther (Williams) Jefferson and Kenneth Wright, was born on February 4, 1956, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Myrna received her formal education in the Indianapolis Public School system and graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1974.
Myrna met Kevin Bullock in 1981, and they wed in June of 1986. From this union, they were blessed with two daughters, Amanda and Aleesha.
Myrna accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. She was an active member of the usher board at Olivet and served faithfully until her illness.
Myrna began her career with the United States Postal Service at the age of 18 and retired in 2019 after 44 years of dedicated service.
Myrna was a lover of cooking and an avid baker, she was well known for her desserts, especially her caramel cake and pecan pies. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters crafting new recipes. She also enjoyed making regular visits to see family members supplying meals and desserts at their request. When she was not cooking, you could find her at home watching movies and shows with her family, out on the boat, or playing cards with her aunts and cousins.
Myrna's kindness and thoughtfulness is unmatched. Her imprint of who she was will never leave. It is hard losing such a beautiful soul, but her legacy will live on through all the lives she positively impacted.
Myrna departed her earthly life on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 11:17 a.m., at the age of sixty-seven years, five months, and thirty days. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kimberly Wright.
Myrna Elaine (Wright) Bullock's memory will forever be cherished by her husband of thirty-seven years, Kevin Bullock; daughters, Amanda Bullock and Aleesha Bullock; sisters, Dr. Joyce A. Battle, M.D.(Stephen), Patricia (Billie) Hughes, Patricia Baker; brothers, Kenneth (Sharon) Battle and Kerry Wright; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she considered family.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
