Myron “Clay” Houdashell, 53, long time resident of Amarillo, TX was called home April 8, 2025.

Clay was born to Ernest and Sandra Houdashell in Amarillo, TX on July 24, 1971.

Clay attended Randall High School and graduated in 1990. After his graduation, Clay became a bookkeeper for First National Bank. He then went on to work in the family business of property management. While attending the Amarillo branch of Waylon Baptist University he worked along side Tad Fowler and Brian Smith as a paralegal for six years. In 2006 Clay campaigned and was elected Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4 for Randall County. With a servant’s heart he served the people of Randall County for the next 16 years as JP4. December 31, 2022, Clay retired from Randall County and joined his brother Scott in his entrepreneurial endeavors.

Clay became a pilot at a young age and enjoyed learning to fly with his dad. Among his many talents, Clay was a proficient guitar player, an amazing cook and loved telling stories. He was a devoted father and loved working on cars with his brother and son. More times than not, Clay would have a red work rag hanging out of his pocket. It was his signature look.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Myron and Irene Gerber, Johnny and Della Linville and Father Ernie Houdashell.

He is survived by his mother, Sandra Houdashell, brother Scott Houdashell, sister Michele (Steve) Snyder and Son Beck Houdashell. As well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
