Myron L. Dunham, 68, a lifelong Battle Creek resident, died peacefully at home with his family at his side on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
Myron was born October 30, 1956, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the son of Henry L. and Alice Clara (Chambers) Dunham. He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and attended Technician College for two years. Myron was employed as a mechanic for Dobos Lawnmower Sales & Service for over 40 years, retiring in 2015.
Surviving are his partner of 33+ years, Virginia Harper; son, Michael (Ashley Bowen) Hughes of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Harmoney Hughes and Kanin Hughes; a sister, Melissa Malott; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alice Dunham, and a sister, Gloria Dunham.
Myron was a gifted mechanic. He could fix anything. He had a great dry sense of humor. He loved his family. Myron enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid hunter & fisherman. His favorite pastimes were watching NASCAR on Sundays. Myron will be remembered as the hard-working hero he was to his family.
Myron will be cremated and ashes returned home, following his wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to his surviving partner or son. Myron’s family would like to express their appreciation for the personal care of Compassive Hospice & the friends and family that have reached out in the last months.
