Myrtle Parton Campbell, age 90, of Anderson, SC, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
Myrtle, widow of Stewart B. Campbell, was also preceded in death by their beloved son, Rev. Dr. Lee Stewart Campbell; her parents and one brother.
Myrtle and Stewart were blessed with 72 wonderful years of marriage. She was retired from Orion Rugs and enjoyed cooking, baking, and making quilts.
She is survived by grandchildren she adored, Elisha Campbell (Allie), Kealer Campbell, and Callie Campbell Johannes (Nathan); daughter-in-law, Sherry Campbell; sisters-in-law, Carol Parton and Joyce Campbell; 6 nephews and 4 nieces.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Jack Couch and Rev. Bob Marcaurelle officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am. A private family committal will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Home for Children, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Hospital, or Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
The family would like to thank Dr. Peter Malmquist and his staff for the medical care provided to Myrtle and her family for over 30 years.
