Myrtle Martin Cribb, age 85, of Siler City, passed away November 2, 2025, at her home accompanied by her daughter Janett Jones. She was born October 24, 1940, in St. Pauls, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Carl Martin and Bessie Ivey Kinlaw. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Cribb; and sisters, Ethel "Wendy" Panapa and Marie "Snookie" Mickler.

Left to cherish her memory are her five daughters, Patricia Dorman, Glenda Deavers, Sandra Vick, Brenda Smith, and Janett Jones; brother, David Hayes and wife Mary; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other beloved family and friends.

Myrtle Cribb's life was a testament to resilience, love, and authenticity. Raised in a hard-working family, she carried the values of diligence and dedication throughout her life. Her early days were spent assisting her family, helping with farming and tending to the cotton fields-a testament to her strength. She later became employed in textile manufacturing and was devoted to the raising of five daughters and one grandson. Her heart was filled with joy when surrounded by her loved ones. She found her peace and relaxation while she was fishing as it was her favorite retreat. A great cook, Myrtle showed care through the meals she prepared. Her straightforward, no-nonsense approach to life was both refreshing, and she always made sure to tell it like it was. Myrtle's legacy is one of unwavering love for her family, an unyielding work ethic, and the courage to be unapologetically herself. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
