Sharon Cribb

Sharon Taylor Cribb, 68, of Adams Creek, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at home.

Sharon was born and raised in the Adams Creek community, graduating from East Carteret High School. She was a proud pirate attending East Carolina University for two years; before receiving her teaching degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Sharon lived every day with a purpose to serve and teach others. Her desire was only for others to know and follow Jesus. Sharon's unconditional love, resilience, and unwavering strength will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She touched countless lives and her legacy of kindness and quiet strength will live on in everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dwight Cribb; daughter, Callie and husband, Billy, of Greenville; daughter, Kristin and husband, Ken of Newport; Sharon was proud to be "Nanie" to her grandchildren, Savannah, Gavin, Lincoln, Emery, and Brynnlee. Sharon is also survived by her loving caregivers: Sharon, Colleen, Lucy, Nita, Pam, Sandra, Airianna, Erin, Teresa and her hospice team from Gentiva Health.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Faye Taylor; and brother, Darryl Denning Taylor.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 8th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, October 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Methodist Church in Havelock.
