Myrtle Franzen passed away April 29,2025 at Northern MT Hospital. She Was born on May 4,1935 to Harry and Lena (Albrecht) Ramberg in Chinook and grew up on the family ranch south of Lohman with her 13 siblings.She graduated from Chinook High School in 1953. Myrt and Mike Franzen were married June 13,1959 and spent nearly 44 years together until Mike's passing in 2003. They lived in Chinook where they raised their 2 daughters, most of that time living on their place just south of town. She raised a massive garden each year and canned and froze all the produce and tended to the livestock. Her favorite thing was to pick asparagus each spring along the Milk River. She spent many hours sewing and crocheting and many family members have a doilie or something created by her. She suffered a stroke in 2015 and lost most of her vision and moved to Helena for a couple years and then to the Havre Eagles Manor where she resided until her death. Myrt was preceded in death by husband Mike,infant daughter Diane,son in law Jeff Tesdal,parents and siblings Anna,Warner,Frank,Carolyn,Eileen,Linda,Erna,Chris and Dave. She is survived by daughters Cheryl(Don)Wagner and Colleen Tesdal,grandchildren Matt(Katie) Wagner and Megan(Ben) Buckridge and great grandchildren Maggie and Zeke Wagner and Elijah,Adelaide and Alexa Buckridge.Siblings Mildred Dawson,Harry Ramberg,Carla Hunt,Mary Baker and Susan Sargent. Special thanks to everyone at the Eagles Manor who watched out for Myrt especially Louise who was a true and caring friend. Per her wishes no service will be held.
