Myrtle Rose Goodman

Myrtle Rose Goodman departed this world peacefully on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at 64 years of age. A native of Lawrenceburg, TN, she was the beloved daughter of the late William Claude Goodman and Nellie Rose Clayton Goodman. She was also preceded into death with her siblings, Janice Goodman, Margaret Johnson, Billy Scott Smith, and William Goodman, her granddaughter Emmalyn Rose Robinson and grandson Bo Hunter Thompson. A caregiver at heart, she dedicated her life to serving others with compassion and grace. For over thirty years, she worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide in local nursing homes and through private duty care, treating each of her patients as if they were members of her own family. Her gentle spirit and nurturing heart touched countless lives. Alongside her caregiving career, she pursued her studies in Psychology at Martin Methodist College. She had an unwavering passion for guiding people toward their best selves, always believing in second chances and the power of kindness. She is survived by her son, Quinton (Krystalyn) Robinson of Central Bridge, NY and her daughter, Sara (Jeremy) Thompson of Collinwood, TN. A special friend who was like a daughter, Hayley Tice Payne. Surviving grandchildren are Bentley and Emmanual (Manny) Robinson and Gunner, Garrett, and Gannon Thompson. Sisters: Ruby (Larry) Dickson of Ethridge, TN, Lisa (David) Yarbrough of Summertown, TN, Diann Hendricks of Fairview, TN. Brothers: Dalton (Patricia) Scott of Florence, AL, Alvin (Christinia) Smith of Killen, AL, and sister n love Eleshia Fuller of Haleyville, AL. She leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins all whom she loved very much. Many special friends who she thought so much of: Delton and Shelia Bedingfield, Frances DuVall, Diann Roberts, Shirley Coffman, Gina Taylor, Denise Allred, special cousins Margaret Stricklin and Jane Hosford, and sweet roommate and friend who looked after her during her last days; Rita Bridge. The family would like to extend gratitude to Waynesboro Post Acute Rehab, Caris Hospice, and North Alabama Medical Center for their compassionate, supportive, and unwavering care. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later time.
