Myrtle M. Gundrum (nee Frank), age 88 of Rubicon, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Pavilion of Glacier Valley, surrounded by family.
Myrtle was born March 11, 1936 in Neosho, Wisconsin to Irma (nee Margelofsky) and Leonhard Frank. She was united in marriage to Luke P. Gundrum on September 3, 1955, at St. John Catholic Church in Rubicon, where they were lifelong members. Myrtle worked at the Hartford Hardees for many years. She enjoyed gambling, tending to her flower gardens, baking, crocheting, and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom she dearly cherished.
Myrtle is survived by her children, Linda (Carl) Klug of Rubicon, Andy of Rubicon, Larry (Mary) of West Bend, Tony (Renee) of Rubicon, Greg (Kay) of Fond du Lac and Gene Gundrum of Beaver Dam; 13 grandchildren, Kristie (Lucas) Spettel, Dean (Brittany) Klug, Connie (Ben) Buckenberger, Renee (Dan) Rocole, Trisha (Ryan) Robenhorst, Ashley Gundrum, Christa (Jeffrey) Kowalchuk, Staci (Nate) Livingston, Brittany (Nick) Sargeant, Dustin (Courtney) Gundrum, Luke, Tyler (Amy) Gundrum and Trent Gundrum; and 27 great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Callies, Florence Polster, and Shirley Weiss; and brothers, Paul (Carol) and Robert Frank. She is survived by many other loved relatives and friends.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Luke Gundrum; sister, Alice (Don) Fuiten and brother, Arnold (Mardell) Frank; parents-in-law, Juliana (nee Schulz) and Nick Gundrum; brothers-in-law, Martin Callies, Floyd Polster and David Weiss, sister-in-law, Sherri Frank; and former daughter-in-law, Judy.
To honor Myrtle's wishes, no formal services will be held.
Contributions in memory of Myrtle to St. John Catholic Church or to the charity of one's choice, in care of her family, are appreciated.
The Gundrum family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Pavilion of Glacier Valley for their care of Myrtle and a special thank you to the many neighbors and friends that helped her out the last year.
