Myrtle Cranford Jones, born on March 10, 1938, peacefully passed away at her residence on December 21, 2025. A devoted member of Brown Springs Baptist Church, Myrtle cherished her church family and was well-regarded for her unwavering spirit, determination, and independence.
Throughout her life, Myrtle made significant contributions through her career as a seamstress at Red Fox Apparel, where her skills and attention to detail were greatly admired. Beyond her professional endeavors, she found joy in gardening and held a deep love for her family, which was evident to all who knew her.
Her memory will be lovingly cherished by those she leaves behind, including her son, Coker Jones (Susan) of Hartsville; her six granddaughters and one grandson; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Joann Johnson of Patrick; her sister-in-law, Geneva Barber of Darlington; her brother-in-law, JB Jones of Darlington, sister in law, Helen Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Coker Jones, Sr., and her son, William Kenneth Jones, her parents, Cord and Ruth Shaw Cranford, along with several brothers and sisters who have passed before her.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Brown Springs Baptist Church, located at 14297 SC-102, Patrick, SC 29584, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Patrick Cemetery.
The family would like to express thanks to members of Crescent Hospice, Crystal, Jordan, Janice and Trice, also a special thanks to William Smith a loving great-grandson for his unfailing help during her sickness.
