Myrtle Odelle Nobles, age 94, of Valdosta, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Fellowship Home- Valdosta.
She was born to the late L.C. and Willie Salter Green on August 17, 1931, in Tifton, GA and lived a life full of love and laughter. She married the late Harold S. Nobles and was a devoted wife and mother- always making sure their needs were met and cared for. She had a heart of gold and a sweet spirirt for tending to others. She had a love for butterflies- watching them ease with grace from bloom to bloom- much like she moved around with grace herself. A beautiful woman inside and out- she believed in the saying "look your best- feel your best" and always wanted to be presentable- even up until her passing. Myrtle spent many years at Fellowship Home and enjoyed her time there, participating in their many activies and spending time with fellow residents and staff- who became like family. The family will forever be thankful to Fellowship Home for the care of Ms. Myrtle.
In addition to her parents and husband- Myrtle was preceded in death by son- Harold S. Nobles Jr, as well as three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her son- Joseph Nobles & Marilyn Clanton, her grandchildren- Brooklyn & Ryan Chamberlain, Jodie & Cody Corbett, Taylor & Bryer White, Carey Beth & Allan Listrom, Kimberly & Brian Raushenbach, Daniel Nobles, Mathew & Alexis Nobles, and Timothy Nobles, and 17 precious great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 5:00pm, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Tifton, GA. Eulogy will be given by lifelong family friend- Buddy LaHood.
