Nadean Skinner Obituary

It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of our sweet mother and grandmother, Nadean Sarah Skinner on November 26, 2025. She was born on September 28, 1946 in Ogden, UT, to Russell and Elda Strebel.

Nadean married Clark Skinner on November 5 ,1965, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple. Together they had two daughters, Michelle and Debbie. Nadean was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Mom never missed an event to support her grandchildren. She adored each one of them and made holidays magical. She looked forward to monthly lunches with her sister and cousins.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mom was a faithful servant to the very end. She served in many callings; she lovingly served as Young Women’s President for many years, in Cub Scouts and as Compassionate Service Leader.

Mom loved camping in the Uintas, traveling to Alaska, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, Disneyland trips with her grandkids, and a visit to Pearl Harbor on Memorial Day.

She found her greatest joy in serving others. She was known for her kindness she had a special gift for making others feel welcome, heard, and valued. Nadean also delighted in life’s simple pleasures, especially her love of Pepsi, which she drank religiously and always with a smile that lit up the room.

She had an incredible work ethic, always driven with a fierce determination. She loved having fun and making people laugh. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 34 years.

Family was the heart of Nadean’s world. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Debbie (Jason) Cantonwine; her grandchildren, Chelsi, Shaylie (Jeremy) Haskell, Jarah (Damien) Cable, Colton (Cassie) Sei, Bridger (Shaylee) Sei, and Kestin; great-grandchildren, KJ, Olivia, Jackson, Soren, Weston, Mak, Scottie, and another great-grandbaby on the way that we know she will spend special time with until her arrival; her sister, Sally (Joe) Page; brother, Gary Strebel; and some very special nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Clark; daughter, Michelle; parents; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the laughter of her grandchildren and the tender moments yet to come with her great-grandchildren.

Her legacy lives on through the traditions she passed down.

The family would like to thank Nicole, Kellie, Dee, Joslyn and Broc with Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Nadean’s final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to participate in a cause close to Nadean’s heart. Each year, she lovingly organized an annual sock drive to help those in need. To honor her giving spirit, a tote will be available at the services for anyone who would like to bring a pack of socks. All donations will be delivered to the homeless shelter in Nadean’s memory.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.

Friends and family are welcome to come and share memories and honor the remarkable woman who touched so many lives.
