Nadine Juanita Howard, fondly known as Deena to her loved ones, passed away peacefully from natural causes on November 3, 2024, at her home in Downingtown, PA. She was born to the late Willie Suber II and Goldie Trowery London Suber Tyler on February 25, 1957, in Coatesville, PA, where she grew up surrounded by a large and loving family.
Deena was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew her. Her infectious laughter and warm presence will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, David Howard, and her surviving siblings, Willie Suber III, Ronald Suber, Sharon Suber, Donna Pendleton, and Geraldine Suber, as well as a host of family members whose lives she touched. She now joins her parents and her brothers Howard, John, Gordon, and Isaac London, and her sister Dolliene London Shockley in eternal rest.
A proud product of the Coatesville Area School District, Deena was a lifelong learner whose love for music, nature, and biblical readings shaped her serene outlook on life. Her gentle spirit and kind heart made her a cherished figure within her community, although she chose not to involve herself in work or associations, dedicating her life instead to her family and personal interests.
Deena's love for music was evident in the way she lived her life-harmoniously and with rhythm. Nature was her sanctuary, and she found solace in the beauty of the world around her. The scriptures were her guide, and she often found strength and comfort in the wisdom of the Bible. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, providing her with a foundation of peace and purpose.
As we reflect on Deena's life, we are reminded of the words of Helen Keller: "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Deena's spirit and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
Deena's life was a testament to the power of love and family. She was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Her legacy is one of compassion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to the ones she held dear. Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will continue to inspire and guide us.
Her life was a tapestry of beautiful moments, woven together by the love she gave and received. As we say goodbye to Deena, we celebrate the time we had with her and the impact she made on our lives. We will cherish her memory and honor her by living with the same grace and love she exemplified every day.
In accordance with her quiet and humble nature, a private service will be held to honor the beautiful life of Nadine Juanita Howard.
Deena's journey through life may have come to a close, but her story will continue to be told through the lives of those she has left behind. As we navigate the world without her physical presence, we hold tight to the essence of her being-the kindness, the music, and the unwavering faith that defined her. Rest in peace, Deena. Your love remains with us always.
