Nadine Lewis Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 1, 2024.
On Oct 26, 2024, Nadine Elena Lewis went to be with the one whom she loved most, Jesus. She was just 7 days away from moving to Michigan to live near her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters.
Nadine was born on April 25th 1959 in San Francisco, CA. Nadine was a graduate of Carlmont High School in 1977. After time working at Eureka Bank in San Carlos, Nadine spent most of her adult life as a homemaker and famed "room mother" for Robby's classes.
In the late 1980s, Nadine took a chance and attended a singles group at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church. It was there, she met the love of her life, Robert Lewis II. Robert had suffered a traumatic brain injury in a severe car accident. Nadine didn't let this stop her from developing a deep love with Robert that led to them getting married on May 7th, 1988.
On September 27th 1989, Nadine became a mother. She dedicated her entire life to caregiving for Robert and being a mother to her son, Robby. She cared for Robert literally up until the final minute of her life.
On June 30th, 2016, Nadine earned a new title: Grandmother. Her first granddaughter, Camryn Grace Lewis was born. Nadine would become a 2x grandmother with the birth of her second granddaughter, Eliana Christine Lewis, on June 1st, 2018. Affectionately known as "Grandma Dine," nothing brought her more joy that being a grandmother. They became her inspiration. All you had to say was that Camryn or Eliana was on the phone and she would drop anything and everything to answer.
Nadine was preceded in her death by her loving parents Jeannette and Louie Garibaldi. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Gina, and her brother, Gary.
Nadine is survived by her husband, Robert, and her son Robby (Elizabeth). She adored her brothers Mike (Ismary), Bobby (Laura), and sister Valerie. She loved being an Aunt to Wayne (Aly), Joe (Kelly), Daniel (Melody), and Ben (Sarge). She also had a special place in her heart for her niece, Melissa, and her great nephew Hunter. She loved her best friends Annette and Renee (Frank).
Nadine put ultimate faith in Jesus. Heaven is real for her now. She loved the Bible verse John 3:30, "He (Jesus) must become greater and I must become less." She is in heaven with her mother, father, brother and sister. She's home in the arms of Jesus.
Robert and Robby want to thank Nadine's brothers, Bobby (Laura) and Mike (Ismary) for the dedicated love they gave to Nadine in her final years.
Nadine's heartbeat became Camryn and Eliana. To see her with them or talk to them on FaceTime was to see joy. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Camryn and Eliana's 529 college savings plans, opened up in Nadine's honor. Please contact Robby at 517-348-3531 if you're interested in a memorial donation.
A celebration of life will occur the weekend of what would have been her 66th birthday, April 25th, 2025. Details to come as the date gets closer.
See you in heaven Nadine!
