Nancy Jane Adams, of
Waterville, Maine, passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born on December 6, 1937.
Nancy was a lifelong Mainer who deeply loved both community and sunshine. She graduated from Winslow High School, where she was a majorette, and later earned her college degree from LaSalle College. The confidence, style, and energy she displayed in her youth stayed with her throughout her life.
Nancy cherished her time in Kennebunk, Maine, and West Palm Beach, Florida, joyfully spending her summers in Maine and winters in Florida, always following the warmth. She was truly the life of the party and lit up every room she entered. In town, she was known and loved by many, remembered for her laughter, her presence, and her unmistakable spirit.
She loved music and fun, whether singing along to Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond, dancing to She's a Lady by Tom Jones, enjoying the romantic classics of Engelbert Humperdinck, or the laid-back sounds of Jimmy Buffett. Music was central to her joy, and she never missed a chance to sing, dance, and have fun.
Nancy treasured time with family. She loved traveling, including Thanksgiving trips to Maryland in her Mercedes convertible with her granddaughter Ashley, to visit her son John and granddaughter Heather, creating memories filled with laughter and love. She especially enjoyed taking her grandchildren to the beach, soaking up the sun, and sharing her love of warm weather and joyful living.
Always impeccably put together, Nancy took pride in having her hair done, adored her French manicures, and loved wearing bright, bold colors-a perfect reflection of her vibrant personality.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Basil Adams and Margaret Gammon; her brother-in-law, Jerry King; her son, Jimmy Morissette; and her niece, Susie Isbell.
She is survived by her sister, Linda King; her son, John Morissette; and her grandchildren, Ashley Wrigley and her husband, Stefan, and Heather Morissette. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Abigail, and Cooper. Nancy leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including Gary King and his wife, Julie; Keira King and her fiancé, Bryan James; their children, Blake and Harper; Ryan King; and Zack Isbell.
Nancy will be remembered for her joy, her style, her love of life, and the way she made everyone around her feel seen and welcome. Her legacy lives on in the many hearts she touched and the countless memories filled with laughter, music, sunshine, and love.
