Nancy Marie (Sanders) Baker age 76, died April 4, 2025 at St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima, OH after a brief illness.
Her Legacy… Nancy was born November 11, 1948 to Richard and Norma (Shearer) Sanders in Bryan, Ohio. She graduated from Bryan High School in 1967. On August 28, 1993, she married Samuel Baker in St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Defiance. She took classes at the University of Toledo for computers, and Jackson Business University for accounting. She did accounting for many companies throughout her career and was the Financial Secretary for St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Defiance for almost 30 years. She also did the Baptismal Banners. She enjoyed painting, cooking, and playing word games on her Kindle. She will be missed by her husband, family and friends.
Her Family… She is survived by husband Samuel and her brother Thomas. She is also survived by her in-laws, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Norma (Shearer) Sanders, a brother Steve and brothers-in-law, Jim Junge and Steve Baker.
Her Farewell Services… A celebration of Nancy’s life in Christ will be Saturday, April 19, 2025 at St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church, 30304 New Bavaria Road, Defiance, OH 43512. The service will be at 2:00 PM. The service is open to anyone. The burial is private (immediate family only). Contributions made in Nancy’s memory can be made to The Zachrich Family Funeral Home to help with expenses.
