Nancy Laura Bosch, a beacon of festivity, warmth, and unparalleled passion for her interests, passed away peacefully in her Niles, Michigan home on November 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 21, 1953, in Alma, Michigan to the late Edwin Penner and Majorie (Hathaway) Penner, Nancy's vibrant spirit touched many throughout her 72 years of a life well-lived.
Nancy's life was a canvas of affection, marked by her deep love for her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, James Bosch, with whom she wedded on July 14th, 1972, in Alma, Michigan. They raised a family that admired and cherished her: Shannon (Jeremy) Frame, Amber (Eric) Lahr, and Vincent (Diana) Bosch. She rejoiced in the time spent with her grandsons: Tyler Frame, and Ethan Frame, both of whom brought boundless joy and happiness to her days. She is also survived by her grandchildren Bode and Brady Bosch, whom she held in her heart. Nancy also leaves behind her brothers, Steve (Margot) Penner, Dave (Charmaine) Penner, and Rob (Kelly) Penner.
A woman of many passions, Nancy loved fishing with her husband, the two of them going on car rides to look for deer and other wildlife as well. Feeding the birds that came to visit her was another pastime she took enjoyment in.
Nancy's creative flair was showcased through her magnificent holiday decorations, which earned features in local magazines. Her home during Christmas was a wonderland, inspiring family memories.
Not only was Nancy's home a reflection of her spirit, but her enthusiasm extended beyond its walls. Her love for rock collecting was one of her greatest joys. It began during treasured family trips to Mackinaw Island and Petoskey, where she delighted in searching the beaches for stones and natural beauty. Her enthusiasm for collecting continued throughout her life.
Her love extended beyond people to the animals she adored. Nancy had a tender heart for pets, especially her Saint Bernards, who were spoiled with affection – and often with meals better than what the rest of the family ate.
The love she had for her animals was shown also at the American Kennel Club shows, where her Saint Bernards, guided by her skilled hand, triumphed, besting her husband two years consecutively-a playful rivalry that brought laughter and pride to their circle.
Visitation for Nancy will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, November 20th, at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, November 21st, at Brown Funeral Home, whereafter Nancy will be laid to rest at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Corewell Health Hospice, 60 N St Joseph St Suite 120 Niles, MI 49120 or checks can be written to Two By Two Animal Hospital (with a memo of blues fund in honor of Nancy)
Nancy's legacy is not marked merely by her accomplishments but also by the indelible impressions she made on the lives of others through her kindness, her unwavering support, and her ability to find beauty in the everyday. Though she has left this world, her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her, as they strive to reflect the love and light she so freely gave.
