Nancy Ilene Bowman, 71, of Anderson, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 24, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent in Anderson surrounded by her entire family. She was born August 4, 1953, in Frankfort to Gordon and Evelyn Joan (Davis) Dean. She married Carl Bowman on August 15, 1971, and he survives.
Nancy was a 1971 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School. She worked as the manager of the cafeteria for the Noblesville School Corporation for 39 years. They attended Outlook Christian Church in McCordsville. She enjoyed camping, baking and cake decorating, playing boardgames and cards, and supporting her grandchildren at their school activities. She enjoyed family holidays making memories with baking cookies. She had a caring heart and a cheery disposition that radiated when you saw here. She also loved her dog, Ellie.
Along with her husband of 53 years, Nancy is survived by her children, Brett (Kristi) Bowman and Leshia (Kenny) Stewart; eight grandchildren, Kayla Bowman, Kendal Bowman, Gage Bowman, Breanna (Travis) Adams, Baileigh (David) Kirkpatrick, Brooklyn Stewart, Brayton Stewart, Alexis (Dalton) Rosemeyer; and great grandchildren, Aria, Farrah, Evalynn, Lakynn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Dean.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 9am until the time of the service at 11am at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Pastor Mitch Young will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s honor to Lewy Body Dementia Association. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
