GUILDERLAND - Nancy Elizabeth Bray, 74, of Guilderland, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 20, 2025, at her place of residence in Guilderland, N.Y.
Nancy was born on August 13, 1950, in Albany, N.Y. She is the daughter of the late Edith and Paul Halsdorf.
Nancy attended Guilderland High School and then worked as a ward clerk at Albany Medical Center. She later went on to work for New York State for many years; including The Department of Taxation and Finance and then The Department of Labor as a clerk until her retirement.
Her hobbies included playing board games, gardening, reading, watching TV, including crime and medical shows. She helped organize game nights for the Singles Outreach Services and would go to dinner on Saturday nights with her friends. Nancy also enjoyed going to HopeClub to spend time with her friends whose lives were also affected by cancer.
She was very fond of animals, especially cats and dogs. She loved and took very good care of her furry babies. Nancy also enjoyed anything that had to do with frogs.
In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with her friends at The Town of Guilderland Senior Citizens, playing bingo and having lunch.
Nancy was a very devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose spirit and love will continue to live on in our hearts.
She is survived by daughter, Sarah of Guilderland, N.Y.; and Justin and his wife, Erin of Voorheesville, N.Y.; three granddaughters, Anna of Guilderland, N.Y., Bailey of Middletown, N.Y., and Taylor of Voorheesville, N.Y. She is also survived by her sister, Mary of Windsor, Conn.
She was predeceased by the two loves of her life, who include Charlie and Sonny.
